Projects & Case Studies

A curated selection of initiatives that highlight my approach to solving complex problems.

The following case studies follow a clear narrative structure: each project summary provides context, outlines the challenges faced, details the methods used and quantifies the outcomes.

Cloud Migration & Zero‑Trust Implementation

Role: Remote Infrastructure Security Lead

Context: A multinational organisation needed to retire its ageing on‑premises data centre and embrace scalable, secure cloud services across multiple time zones.

Challenge: Migrate critical workloads without disruption while meeting compliance requirements and enabling remote access for a distributed workforce.

Approach: Orchestrated a phased migration to AWS and Azure, introduced micro‑segmentation, multi‑factor authentication and continuous monitoring. Leveraged zero‑trust principles to limit lateral movement and integrated a cloud access security broker (CASB) for unified policy enforcement.

Outcome: Achieved a 99.9 percent uptime post‑migration, improved audit readiness and reduced unauthorized access attempts by 75 percent. The approach has since been adopted as a blueprint for other business units.

From Chaos to Control: Transforming IT Service Delivery

Role: IT Service Delivery Manager

Context: A global enterprise faced escalating support tickets, poor user satisfaction and inconsistent processes across regions.

Challenge: Standardize service desk operations while improving responsiveness and satisfaction. Legacy tools lacked automation, leading to delays and manual errors.

Approach: Implemented ITIL 4 practices, introduced a modern ITSM platform and built a knowledge base. Deployed chatbots and self‑service portals to automate common requests and established an automated incident escalation framework. Provided staff training and instituted performance metrics.

Outcome: Ticket resolution time dropped by 45 percent, user satisfaction scores rose to 92 percent and the service desk evolved from a cost centre into a strategic asset. Recognition included an internal innovation award.

Securing an AI Pipeline in a DoD Environment

Role: DevSecOps Lead

Context: A defense agency needed to deploy an artificial intelligence (AI) model pipeline on classified networks. Legacy processes slowed deployment and raised concerns about data integrity.

Challenge: Protect sensitive data and code throughout the pipeline while enabling rapid iteration. The environment required compliance with stringent DoD regulations and NIST SP 800‑53 controls.

Approach: Implemented Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and CI/CD pipelines using GitLab and Kubernetes. Adopted a “shift‑left” security model with automated static and dynamic code scanning, container hardening and supply‑chain validation. Engaged stakeholders through regular security reviews and training.

Outcome: Reduced deployment time from weeks to hours, achieved continuous Authorization to Operate (ATO) status, and cut vulnerability remediation time by 60 percent. The project won commendations for balancing agility with compliance.
